Why I Started Cenplus Care
Cenplus Care began with a simple belief: that everyone deserves clear, respectful information about disability, mental health and the NDIS. This is a personal reflection on why this website exists and what we hope it contributes.
I have seen firsthand how difficult it can be to find information that is clear, trustworthy and respectful. When people are already navigating big life changes, the last thing they need is confusing jargon or contradictory advice.
That experience shaped the idea behind Cenplus Care: an independent place where people can find practical information in plain language.
A Focus on People
At the heart of Cenplus Care is a belief in the dignity and worth of every person. We do not define people by their disability, diagnosis or circumstances. We see individuals with their own strengths, interests and aspirations.
The language we use matters. We aim to use person-centred, respectful language and to recognise that every person's experience is unique.
Independent and Honest
Cenplus Care is an independent information website. We are not affiliated with the NDIA or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and we do not provide disability support services through this website.
Our role is to share general information and point people towards official sources, so they can make their own informed decisions.
What We Hope to Contribute
We hope this website helps people to:
- Feel less overwhelmed when looking for information.
- Understand their options in plain language.
- Find trusted, official sources for their next step.
- Feel respected and heard, whatever their circumstances.
An Ongoing Journey
Cenplus Care is a work in progress. We welcome feedback, suggestions and ideas from the people who use this website, because that is how it will keep growing in the right direction.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We are glad you are here.
